Software Developer

Faizhan Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a technical, self-motivated Software Developer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid. As a member of our Agile development team, you will support several complex and high-volume customer systems. The ideal candidate would have experience developing in Java and building Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of a scrum team to develop, integrate, and deploy high quality reusable, testable, and efficient code including Microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API’s
  • Developing Microservices that include RESTful services using Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Transactions, Security, and Batch)
  • Writing Unit Test frameworks (JUnit, Mocking frameworks), code coverage, and code review and integrating work with GitLab

Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote


Faizhan Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a technical, self-motivated Cloud Engineer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for a U.S. Government Client.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with development teams to understand cloud workload solution architecture within agency AWS environment and provide feedback for optimizing solution architecture covering topics of network and AWS service configuration.
  • Creating/updating cloud environment configurations to establish/support application workloads, including configuration of AWS accounts using Control Tower, IAM Users and Roles, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, network routes, Transit Gateway, Systems Manager, Config Manager, stack sets, CloudFront, Route53, WAF, and API Gateway
  • Building stack sets and cloud formation templates to automate provisioning of resources. Experience with python scripting.
  • Supporting and completing requests for operational support to include communicating level of effort and status to cloud leadership team  Supporting data calls for resources provisioned within the cloud environment and reporting out status of resources.
  • Identifying and communicating opportunities for improving agency security posture within cloud environments

Qualifications:

Senior Software Engineer

Faizhan Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a technical, self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team to support an essential modernization program for a DoD Customer based out in DC/MD/TX.


We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and implement complicated and difficult software capabilities for computer-based systems. Work closely with other engineering teams. Work closely with business technology peers and management emphasizing collaboration and joint effort to ensure that the needs and expectations of organizational stake holders, business partners, external customers, and third-party organizations are met and/or exceeded. Work is performed in a hybrid role with needing to provide on-site customer support in DC 2-3 days/week.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Candidate must have a strong working knowledge and experience developing Java based software capabilities. 
  • Candidate should have an inquisitive nature, responsiveness, and excellent testing skills.
  • Must also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Specialist, Senior

Faizhan Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a technical, self-motivated Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, Senior to join our team to support an migration program for Government Customer based out in DC.


The Solutions Network, OCI and Oracle Fusion Middleware Solution Specialist will be responsible for providing technical leadership and assistance for Oracle designing, architecting, creating and supporting the various services within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure supported by the district. This position will be focused on supporting the client engagements requiring Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Fusion Middleware Administration, and also to support the applications and database needs for developing go to project solutions. Supported systems will span flavors of Windows, UNIX, and Linux along with Oracle cloud and other cloud service provider platforms. In addition to hands-on technical work this position will require providing assistance to project teams with architecture design, upgrades, performance tuning, systems stabilization, documentation development and the creation of client deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, assess, prototype, recommend and deliver enterprise-wide dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, secure, and reliable solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to respond on business needs and new opportunities.
  • Build, test, automate and support the migration of workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

FCG is seeking a Senior Database Developer/Engineer to provide Clinical data solutions for Healthcare informatics efforts as part of that team that designs, develops, and delivers a large-scale Data Mart solution.


We are looking for a highly motivated professional with advanced database architectural, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills who is interested in a multi-year position in a senior-level capacity.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and optimize large, complex DB schemas, SQL scripts and objects to meet application functionality and performance requirements.
  • Working cohesively with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
  • Working closely with application developers and business teams at all levels to assist with data-related technical issues and help ensure the successful designing and delivering data driven solutions.

Help Desk Specialist

Faizhan Consulting Group (FCG) is seeking a Customer-oriented & self-motivated Help-Desk Specialist to join our team to support a U.S. Government Customer in Washington, D.C.



Technical Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities:

  •  Receives, documents, triages, escalates, and responds to all customer requests within acceptable timeframe, as defined by the current Service Levels. (Tier 1 and 2 support)
  •  Properly documents, prioritizes, and escalates, utilizing the Help Desk ticketing system, all reported problems together with the appropriate resolution required for solving each problem.
  • Works with outside vendors, as appropriate, to coordinate procurement and repair of personal computer equipment and printing technologies.
  • Provides communication to appropriate departments and groups regarding system alerts or outages, planned upgrades, restoration activities, and technology asset management.
  • Performs laptop/tablet/desktop support, including configuration of software/hardware, troubleshooting/repair of software/hardware issues, and support of desktop initiatives and projects, as necessary.
  • Maintains the technical competency and proficiency required for answering most common questions submitted to the Help Desk. Provides support for line-of-business applications, Windows applications, as well as common printing & network issues.

Business Analyst

Location: Washington, D.C.



FCGis looking for a dynamic and innovative Business and/or Functional Analyst to support our government customer. This role with work hand-in-hand with senior project managers, product owners, and key government stakeholders to support the success of multiple projects. This position is responsible for understanding the customer's functional and business process needs, capturing their requirements, and translating solutions into succinct user stories for technical resources. Our BA's work closely with their technical teammates, ensuring they fully understand and conceptualize the end-goal of each user story or epic on behalf of the customer. The BA also serves as Scrum Master for their team, helping teammates resolve impediments and risks, while staying on target within every sprint.


 Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meeting with senior-level government officials that serve as Product Owners and/or key stakeholders to ongoing projectized efforts.
  • Proactively seeking customer feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping translate the customers' functional business processes and needs to technical resources.
  • Collaborating with SME’s to write and edit Knowledge Base Articles (KBA)’s, User Guides, Procedures, SOPs, and related project materials.
  • Capturing user stories, grooming, and recording stories within Jira
  • Assisting with demo's, as necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction at the end of each sprint
